Created in 1868 by herbalist Girolamo Varnelli in the Sibillini Mountains, Amaro Sibilla is a decoction/infusion of herbs, roots and barks aged and decanted in wood, sweetened with pure honey from the Monti Sibillini. Historically used as a 19th-century anti-malarial and antipyretic remedy, owing to its Gentian and Cinchona content.
